The Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI) is partnering with 3M to study the impact of using Six Sigma methodology versus traditional quality improvement approaches used in acute and long term care facilities to help organizations achieve and sustain hand hygiene compliance targets. This project will compare the efforts of the two approaches to hand hygiene.
CPSI is inviting organizations to consider applying for inclusion in this study. They are looking for 20 participating organizations to enroll in this project. The deadline for your application to CPSI is September 7, 2010. MIPS may consider contributing funds to the application fee. Organizations interested in this funding opportunity should contact Laurie Thompson by August 20, 2010.
For detailed project information and to download the application form, go to Call for Participation – Hand Hygiene Case Study or contact Murray Doggett at mdoggett@cpsi-icsp.ca, or call (613) 738-9130.
