Inventory of Patient Safety Activities
The Manitoba Institute for Patient Safety is gathering information on patient safety activities and initiatives across Manitoba, initially in regional health authorities. The purpose of this inventory is to share information on patient safety activities and initiatives among regional health authorities, providers, organizations and the public across Manitoba and Canada, and to identify potential areas for collaboration with MIPS and other organizations.
Below are activities underway at RHAs who have submitted information as of September 15, 2007. Highlights of patient safety initiatives/activities are organized by the following headings: culture of safety, infection control, and prevention of adverse drug events. RHAs are encouraged to include goals, successes/challenges, and measures of success.
