Kim Poppel has a background in conservation, agriculture and the environment and has worked in this area nearly 20 years throughout the province but primarily in Westman. With background in project management, interagency taskforces, program development and reporting she brings a rural and lay persons view to patient safety following a sad elder patient care experience in 2002.

She advocates for consent, competence, communication and compassion as basics in patient care. Kim is interested in constructive processes to promote patient safety and quality health care for Manitobans and Canadians.
