
Ms. Kathy McPhail
Ms. Kathy McPhail is the Chief Executive Officer for Central Regional Health Authority in Manitoba. In this role she oversees all Regional programs & services including Public Health, Primary Care, Mental Health, Home Care, Long Term Care, Health Promotion, Acute Care and Rehabilitative Services. Prior to her appointment, Kathy served in a variety of management and coordinator/liaison roles in rural Manitoba, including Vice President of Acute Care & Diagnostic Services for Brandon Regional Health Authority, Coordinator of Acute Care and Health Services Manager in Parkland Regional Health Authority, Manitoba Health Liaison, (for three western regional health authorities), and supervisor and head nurse positions. Kathy is a Registered Nurse, and has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Health Services Administration. She holds certificates in Health Care Administration in community health and acute care.
Kathy has served on the Board of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba and is currently a board member of Diagnostic Services of Manitoba. She is a Surveyor for Accreditation Canada. Kathy has received a number of awards of recognition, most recently the College of Registered Nurses Excellence in Professional Nursing, Administration.
Kathy was nominated by Regional Health Authorities of Manitoba. Kathy was elected to the Board of Directors, Manitoba Institute for Patient Safety in June 2009.
