Mr. Rene Comte
Rene is a fluently bilingual senior executive with 37 years as a health care administrator in rural Manitoba. Rene’s career began in 1967 as administrator of long term facility in Notre Dame de Lourdes. He then held various Administrator positions including Administrator, Notre Dame Hospital, and Executive Director of the Swan Lake Hospital, the Pembina Manitou Health Center in Manitou, Boyne Lodge and the Carman Hospital, and St Claude Health Center. He than became VP Planning for the Regional Health Authority in Central Region, a role he kept until his appointment as Chief Executive Director (CEO) in June 2001. Rene retired as CEO RHA-Central December 31 2004. In addition to being a Board Member of the Manitoba Institute for Patient Safety, he is on the board of the Conseil Communauté en Santé du Manitoba (CCS). René also sits on numerous regional and local Health Commitees.
Rene lives in the rural francophone community of Notre Dame de Lourdes.
