The Manitoba Institute for Patient Safety (MIPS) is incorporated under The Corporations Act. The institute is an independent non-profit organization that receives core funding from a provincial government grant to cover operational costs.
The Institute is under the direction of a Board of 12 Directors; five are appointed by the Minister of Health and seven are elected by the Membership.
